Jorge started to help his dad on a coffee farm when he was ten. When he was 16, his father sadly passed away, and Jorge became responsible for his mother and 11 siblings. It was a very rough time for coffee growers then, as the price for beans was meager, and Honduras was also experiencing solid waves of leaf rust. Fortunately, Jorge has never given up, and after several years of hard work, he started to achieve better and larger yields. He could invest back in the farm and improve his growing techniques. Today, he helps other farmers stock process their coffee in the processing area he has built.
